Rights, covers and samples

For each track, you indicate whether it's an original composition, a cover or public domain, and whether samples were used. Covers require a mechanical licence; uncleared samples block submission.

AI use in audio, composition and artwork is asked about separately and sent along with the release.

You sign a rights declaration for each revision. That declaration is tied to the exact content at that moment.

A copyright notice is not a strike in itself. Only an infringement confirmed by Crystal Distribution counts as a copyright strike; it expires after a year. Under Copyright strikes in the menu, you can see which track it concerns, who the claim comes from, how long it still counts and how to appeal.
